This role will report to the Chief AI and Analytics Officer at The Hartford. The selected candidate will support the day-to-day needs of the leader to drive strategic priorities for the AI & Analytics organization. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting executive leaders within a complex financial services organization. The ability to interact with individuals (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks. Location: this role will report on a hybrid schedule to the Hartford, CT office, with 3 days a week in office.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting individuals in executive level management
  • Excellent proficiencies in the use of Office Suite; proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word), Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, etc.), Outlook Viva, Workday, Expense tools to support leader needs.
  • Digital Dexterity and Intellectual Curiosity; proficient in use of advanced productivity and collaboration tools and a continued desire to explore emerging trends in AI .
  • Ability to produce ad hoc presentations, reports, and manage special projects (outline project needs, work with various groups to acquire necessary data, provide analysis and recommendations)
  • A team player with organizational understanding, excellent customer service skills, and verbal and written communication skills across a variety of organizational levels both inside and outside The Hartford
  • Strong problem solver, able to analyze facts and data, conduct a root cause analysis and propose solutions
  • Flexible with respect to working overtime and off-hours
  • A results-oriented and resourceful individual who is capable of quickly taking control of their responsibilities and establishing self as a credible administrative support partner

Responsibilities

  • Work side by side with the senior leadership team with a high degree of competence and understanding of the leadership responsibilities.
  • Broad knowledge of how the organization works and understanding of company policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Handles with a high degree of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy, a variety of administrative, special projects and leadership responsibilities to maximize effectiveness of the leadership team.
  • Manage email, calendar, including supporting execs time management, meeting schedule (including off-site meetings), conferences, town halls and travel plans using appropriate prioritization to resolve potential schedule conflicts.
  • Demonstrates strong anticipatory judgment by staying ahead of deadlines, preparing materials in advance, and foreseeing operational or scheduling needs to ensure seamless executive workflow.
  • Highly proficient in managing, tracking, and completing expense reporting
  • Exercises independent judgment and works with minimal or no direction on projects which require research, analysis of data, and creation of reports.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and networking skills.
  • Operate with an understanding of the organization matrix, different levels of required confidentiality and how they differ from person to person and role to role.
  • Experienced approach to information security, data privacy and confidentiality with the utmost judgment and tact, recognizing any time constraints and implications.
  • Primary accountability to support Chief AI and Analytics Officer, and as capacity allows, this role will also provide administrative support to 3 Vice Presidents
