About The Position

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring an Executive Assistant for a full time, Day shift position to support the executive team. This is an onsite position in Charlottesville, VA. Hours: Monday to Friday 730a to 4p but some flexibility for start and end time is available within business hours. 40 hours per week. The Executive Assistant will perform a variety of administrative tasks aimed to optimize the time and performance of a manager or employees of a department; higher level roles will work for higher level managers or departments. Tasks may involve acting as a first point of contact, dealing with correspondence and phone calls, managing diaries, organizing meetings and appointments, preparing documents or reports, and controlling access to the manager/executive, and participating in projects. May involve dealing with confidential information. This position will support two VP leadership areas and assist in coordination and support of the Hospital Board. Duties will include meeting set up, calendar coordination, leadership meetings, and executive workgroup meetings. Patient Satisfaction scores are highest in the system at Martha Jefferson Sentara Martha Jefferson Foundation education assistance program up to $32,500 Free Parking at Sentara Martha Jefferson Education High School Diploma required Associates or Bachelor's degree highly preferred. Requirements

High School Diploma required
3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant required
1 year of experience in coordination and reporting required
Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and outlook calendar management Required

Nice To Haves

Associates or Bachelor's degree highly preferred
Experience in correspondence drafting and highly developed communication skills preferred
Healthcare and Hospital specific experience preferred
