About The Position

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Policy Officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will provide high-level administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Policy Division. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Executive Assistant will act as a key liaison between the Chief Policy Officer, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a policy, government, or advocacy environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Familiarity with policy, government affairs, or advocacy work is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Chief Policy Officer’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and organize materials for meetings, presentations, and events, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications directed to the Chief Policy Officer, handling inquiries with discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and track deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups for the Policy Division.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Maintain and organize files, records, and databases to ensure easy access to critical information.
  • Assist in planning and executing events, briefings, and conferences related to policy initiatives.
  • Handle expense reporting, budget tracking, and other administrative tasks to support the Chief Policy Officer.
  • Collaborate with other executive assistants and staff to ensure alignment and efficiency across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Chief Policy Officer and the Policy Division.
