  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior clerical or administrative assistant experience required.
  • Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls.
  • Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to: a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
  • Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the general function of the administrative office.
  • Directs, supervises, or coordinates the work of others, if required; maintains the proper flow of the office.
  • Supports the principal with clerical duties to include but not limited to: Coordinating, scheduling, and preparing paperwork for candidate interviews.
  • Preparing and maintaining student disciplinary hearing packets and letters.
  • Maintaining supervisor’s appointment calendar.
  • Attending meetings and taking notes of minutes when required.
  • Taking and transcribing dictation that varies from simple to complex.
  • Preparing and typing reports, letters, inventories, tests, memoranda, etc., some of which will be of a confidential or sensitive nature.
  • Monitors time and attendance for staff; maintains records of staff leave.
  • Submits maintenance work orders as needed.
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes mail.
  • Assists in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
  • Assists with preparation and distribution of communications.
  • Maintains and updates the OHS webpage calendar and announcements.
  • Creates and updates announcements on the marquees.
  • Updates Schoology as needed.
  • Orders and verifies receipt of supplies; maintains inventories.
  • Prepares monthly donations and grants.
  • Prepares and maintains spreadsheets of teacher vacancies and hires
  • Maintains personal and emergency contact information for staff
  • Enters and maintains employee and student information in PowerSchool.
  • Assists new employees with id badges, forms, keys, etc.
  • Serves as backup for processing payroll for staff; maintaining records of staff payroll.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
