About The Position

Exchange Server Engineer The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Exchange Server Engineer who will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of enterprise messaging systems across both on-premises Exchange Server and Micro sof t Exchange Online ( Micro sof t 365 ) environments. This role will ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing email and calen dari ng services and play a key role in maintaining and modernizing the organization’s hybrid messaging infrastructure. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team of systems and network engineers supporting the U.S. Navy’s digital transformation efforts. Your mission will be to modernize and optimize legacy server platforms through strategic divestment or migration to the cloud. What You’ll Work On: Design, implement, and maintain hybrid Exchange configurations connecting on-premises and cloud mail environments. Plan and execute mailbox migrations such as on-premises to Exchange Online. Configure and maintain hybrid mail flow, connectors, and DNS records, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Manage and support Exchange Server environments 2016 or 2019, including mailbox databases, DAGs, connectors, and transport services. Perform patching, upgrades, and configuration changes across hybrid environments. Implement and manage security policies , including multi-factor authentication ( MFA ) , c ond itional access, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP ) . Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards such as DoD STIGs. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of administrative tasks and reporting across Exchange Server and Micro sof t 365. Automate provisioning, license assignment, and mailbox management. Serve as subject matter expert ( SME ) for Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and hybrid mail systems. Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Network teams on cross-functional projects. Join us. The world can't wait.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Exchange Server administration and engineering for Exchange 2013, 2016, or 2019
  • Experience developing comprehensive IT infrastructure automation using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python or automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed teams
  • Ability to automate the installation and operation of Windows Server-based applications and solutions
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification within 30 days of hire date
  • Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.
