About The Position

QUALIFICATION: • Must hold a valid Kentucky Teaching Certification in the area stated above. • Have the ability to develop and implement the IEP for individual students. • Willingness to work extensively with students presenting behavioral disorders/challenges. • Must be willing and able to complete Safe Crisis Management Training. • Must be willing to collaborate with regular classroom teachers. • Have knowledge and ability to implement the new Kentucky Academic Standards: Reading/Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. • Must have knowledge of curriculum and best teaching strategies for improving student learning. • Must be available to participate in PD training sessions in aligning curriculum both vertically/horizontally for all content areas. • Must have knowledge/implementation of ARC meetings and Discipline Management Skills. • Have the ability to develop a positive, professional relationship with students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
