About The Position

Work under the direction of the alternative learning principal to provide the following: Behavioral support for students who may be aggressive or disruptive Social/Emotional/Behavioral support that assist students in achieving curricular standards and goals Collaborative responsibility with alternative education staff for student success Administrative Assistant support as needed Classroom support as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma
• At least one (1) of the following:
• Two (2) years of college credit
• An Associate’s Degree or higher
• Evidence of passing the Arkansas State Board of Education adopted Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment
• Desire to support students’ social/emotional/behavioral success through evidence based practices at school

Responsibilities

• Behavioral support for students who may be aggressive or disruptive
• Social/Emotional/Behavioral support that assist students in achieving curricular standards and goals
• Collaborative responsibility with alternative education staff for student success
• Administrative Assistant support as needed
• Classroom support as needed
• Maintain confidentiality
• Present and communicate in a professional manner
• Other duties as assigned by administration and alternative learning classroom teacher
