Evotec is seeking a transformative and future-focused EVP Head of Strategic Partnerships to redefine how the industry discovers and develops tomorrow’s breakthrough medicines. This role is not about incremental growth — it’s about anticipating where science, technology, and investment will converge over the next 5–10 years and forging the bold partnerships that will make that future real. As a visionary dealmaker and strategic architect, the EVP Head of Strategic Partnerships will lead the design and execution of long-term alliances with global pharmaceutical leaders, emerging biotech's, and/or innovation ecosystems. Your mission is to unlock the full potential of Evotec’s precision medicine and multimodal discovery platforms by building differentiated, future-forward collaborations that shape entire therapeutic landscapes. Requirements

  • Deep understanding of how pharma is evolving — scientifically, commercially, and structurally.
  • Ability to anticipate the strategic imperatives of future pharma pipelines and align Evotec’s platforms and discovery engines accordingly.
  • A bold, entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to identify opportunities, initiate bold partnerships, and lead change at scale.
  • Passion for creating what doesn’t yet exist.
  • Extensive experience in drug discovery and development, including translational science and early clinical strategy.
  • Fluency in both scientific and business domains, with an ability to build deals that are both visionary and executable.
  • Proven success in negotiating complex, high-value partnerships that redefine strategic positioning.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, assessing risk, and crafting innovative deal structures that align long-term interests.
  • Experience leading globally dispersed teams across scientific, business, and operational domains.
  • Skilled in inspiring cross-functional collaboration, building trust, and driving unified execution of strategic initiatives.

  • Drive long-term, value-creating relationships that go beyond transactions — creating shared roadmaps for scientific and commercial success
  • Serve as the lead architect of complex, innovation-driven partnerships.
  • Structure deals that are bold, future-facing, and aligned with evolving industry priorities.
  • Negotiate from a position of deep scientific understanding and long-term strategic vision, creating enduring value for Evotec and its partners.
  • Lead globally distributed business development teams, uniting scientific, legal, and operational functions around a shared vision.
  • Champion a collaborative, agile, and integrated approach to building a high-value pipeline across geographies and therapeutic areas.
