About The Position

As a member of the executive leadership team, the EVP, Finance & Administration plays a critical role in shaping IALR’s financial strategy, administrative infrastructure, and long‑term sustainability. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the President and Board, ensuring fiscal integrity, strong governance, and organizational alignment while enabling the mission to advance education, workforce development, research, and economic growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant senior‑level leadership experience overseeing finance and administrative functions in a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and audit processes.
  • Experience overseeing grants management, contracts, and stewardship of public and private funds.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams while fostering accountability and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise‑wide financial and administrative strategies aligned with organizational priorities
  • Advise the President and executive leadership on financial performance, risk management, investments, and resource allocation
  • Provide executive oversight of Finance, Grants & Contracts, Institutional Advancement, and process improvement functions
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory and fiduciary requirements
  • Prepare and present financial analyses, reports, and recommendations to the Board of Directors and senior stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency, scalability, and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Build and lead high‑performing teams, fostering accountability, transparency, and operational excellence
