About The Position

This position, as part of the executive leadership team, assists the professional staff and hospital management in fulfilling their obligations to each other and their responsibilities to patients for the provision of quality care. This position works closely with the professional chief of staff and other physician leaders, including division and committee chairs. This position must be responsive to the concerns of professional staff members and is expected to foster, facilitate, and contribute to a close and mutually beneficial relationship between the professional staff and hospital management. This position is accountable for the clinical responsibilities of all medical directors and vice VPMA/CMO. This position is accountable for the clinical responsibilities of all employed physicians.

Requirements

Must be a licensed physician with clinical training
Possesses exceptional leadership skills, including a faculty for conceptual thinking, peer motivation, and problem-solving
Demonstrate initiative
Demonstrate the ability to work independently
Have prior supervisory experience
Champion change
Is knowledgeable of current pediatric literature
