Events Worker - Kino Stadium Complex
About The Position
The Events Worker is a part-time/intermittent position that assists in the logistical management of corporate and public events. Requirements
- Any combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application.
- Valid driver license is required at time of application.
- Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment.
- The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicant’s suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures.
- Current first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) must be acquired prior to completion of initial training.
- Some positions are required to have a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Failure to obtain/maintain the required licensure/certification/registration shall be grounds for termination.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in varied settings including events, leagues, tournaments, and community activities with crowds of varying sizes.
- Experience setting up and tearing down events, leagues, tournaments, and/or community activities.
- Experience in customer service, problem-solving, and working directly (face-to-face) with customers.
- Experience in general clean up including restrooms, trash removal, walkways, and equipment set up/tear down.
- Experience working outside in extreme heat, humidity, dust, and cold weather.
Responsibilities
- Monitors events at the facility to assist with any needs of the clients and participants
- Welcomes guests into the complex, watching for contraband
- Maintains the complexes and fields to major league standards
- Performs grounds maintenance
- Performs end of event closing tasks
- Performs administrative duties.
