About The Position

The Events Worker is a part-time/intermittent position that assists in the logistical management of corporate and public events. Requirements

Any combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application.
Valid driver license is required at time of application.
Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment.
The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicant’s suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures.
Current first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) must be acquired prior to completion of initial training.
Some positions are required to have a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Failure to obtain/maintain the required licensure/certification/registration shall be grounds for termination.
The County requires pre-employment background checks.
Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history.
This position will require a post-job offer physical and/or drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in varied settings including events, leagues, tournaments, and community activities with crowds of varying sizes.
Experience setting up and tearing down events, leagues, tournaments, and/or community activities.
Experience in customer service, problem-solving, and working directly (face-to-face) with customers.
Experience in general clean up including restrooms, trash removal, walkways, and equipment set up/tear down.
Experience working outside in extreme heat, humidity, dust, and cold weather.

Responsibilities

Monitors events at the facility to assist with any needs of the clients and participants
Welcomes guests into the complex, watching for contraband
Maintains the complexes and fields to major league standards
Performs grounds maintenance
Performs end of event closing tasks
Performs administrative duties
