About The Position

Position Summary: The Events Manager’s primary responsibility is to support the Director of Events. The Events Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of an event from booking to execution run smoothly and successfully. This position is commission eligible.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motions.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Previous experience in special events preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with tripleSeat, SevenRooms, and Peoplevine preferred.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of tools, including Word and Excel.
  • Must be detail oriented and extremely organized.
  • Must have valid, non-expired Food Handlers’ card.

Responsibilities

  • Make first contact with inquiries and convert leads in tripleSeat.
  • Meet with clients under the direction of the Director of Events to understand goals and expectations for each event, as well as preferences and budget.
  • Be the main liaison between all vendors and clients.
  • Manage event setup and breakdown.
  • Assist in overseeing event operations when necessary.
  • Confirm all vendors, performers, speakers, and any other third parties in a timely manner.
  • Conduct post-event evaluation to gather feedback and analyze successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain constant awareness of space availability for future bookings.
  • Conduct site visits when needed for potential clients.
  • Create BEO sheets for all parties, semi-private events, and private events.
  • Will be required to work shifts managing the floor, including opening and closing the venue when needed.
  • Always demonstrate a pleasant and welcoming demeanor to guests, vendors, and potential clients.
  • All other duties assigned.
