Responsibilities include working events and promotions as assigned. This includes but not limited to checking in guests for events, working promotional giveaways, issuing prizes (both physical and monetary through our player software), recording and documenting prize winner information, decorating and setting up events, assisting with entertainment needs, researching and ordering items for the department and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. This is a salaried position. Work hours vary based on business needs. In general, Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday are off days. Expect to work mid-afternoon to mid-evening on Fridays and Saturdays. Additional compensation includes a paid lunch, paid time off after the probationary period and the choice to participate in health/dental/vision insurance plans and a 401k program. Work environment varies from duties inside the office to working in the casino and other public venues. The promotions area in our casino is a non-smoking area but smoking is permitted in the casino. The office and pavilion are smoke free. Some days there is a lot of walking. Other days, there is not. There is lifting involved at times as well. The position requires a friendly and outgoing personality for guest engagement. A gaming and/or promotions background is preferred but not required. Customer service experience and knowledge of basic computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Google Sheets/Documents) are very helpful. Multitasking and focusing focus amidst distractions are required.
