Queenstown Harbor Golf Resort is seeking an Events Manager to join our team of professionals in a detailed and execution-driven role. Our Events Manager is an initiative-taker who can efficiently and seamlessly plan and facilitate weddings, retreats, multi-course golf, corporate, and other events while prospecting for additional opportunities when appropriate. This role is vital to the success of the resort as much of our volume includes seasonal golf events and weddings throughout the year. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ catering and events experience is preferred.
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential, Sharp negotiation and networking skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant software for event planning and management.
  • Proven record of sales growth.
  • Experience in customer service, marketing, or a sales-related field.
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Experience in managing sales or marketing teams.
  • Sharp negotiation and networking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
  • Plan and Execute Weddings, Social, and Corporate Events when turned over from Sales Team.
  • Execute wedding tastings with Banquet Captain/Manager.
  • Plan and execute Internal Events with F&B Director based on Programming Calendar.
  • Maintain and update Programming Calendar.
  • Meet with department heads monthly to plan social media/photo needs.
  • Consistently gather and provide property content to the Social Media Manager.
  • Develop any flyers needed for Sales and Events Department.
