Online coaching via the IMG Academy+ brand, with a focus on personal development through the lens of sport and performance Online college recruiting , via the NCSA brand, providing content, tools, coaching and access to a network of 40,000 college coaches The Events Department Intern will assist with planning and executing IMG Academy events, including sports tournaments, team training visits, corporate meetings, student engagement initiatives, non-sports camps, and other assorted events.

Requirements

  • Desire to learn event planning and execution
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, and/or hospitality industries
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work in a fast – paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Team player with a positive approach and attitude
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and desire to communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of audiences and team members
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of event set up, tear down and execution
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays is required

Responsibilities

  • Support Events Department team members in preparing event production timelines, event maps, budgets, and event orders
  • Help develop event operations plans to include security, restrooms, ticketing, parking, etc.
  • Research and reach out to external vendors and internal partners to procure all necessary supplies and equipment for events
  • Assist with set up and breakdown of all assigned events
  • Aid in day-of execution for all assigned events
  • Create Research and develop innovative experiences and entertainment elements for assigned events
  • Coordinate on-site environment including signage displays, vendors, client check-in procedures, and elevated white glove touches
  • Perform record keeping tasks and create recap documents for each assigned event
  • Create guides, decks, presentations and other helpful department documents
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes
