About The Position

The Events & Conferences (E&C) Intern supports ACP’s events and programming efforts, contributing to the planning, coordination, and delivery of conferences, meetings, and related initiatives. This role provides exposure to how large-scale industry events are developed and executed in support of ACP’s mission and member engagement. Working closely with the E&C team, the intern will support event logistics, program coordination, and post-event activities while gaining insight into cross-functional collaboration, event operations, and the role conferences play in advancing organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, with an interest in event management, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant coursework or prior internship experience related to events, conferences, or program coordination.
  • Familiarity with event registration platforms, databases, or project management tools.
  • Interest in clean energy, sustainability, or public policy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and coordination of ACP conferences, meetings, and events.
  • Assist with program logistics, including speaker coordination, scheduling, and materials preparation.
  • Help maintain event-related information and documentation, including attendee lists, session details, and internal tracking materials.
  • Support the use of event technology platforms, including registration systems and mobile event tools.
  • Assist with on-site or virtual event execution as needed, including day-of coordination and support.
  • Contribute to post-event activities, such as feedback collection, reporting, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support event-related communications and materials.
  • Support additional projects and tasks as needed to meet team priorities.
