About The Position

The Catering and Events Coordinator will work with the Director of Food Services and Events with the planning, execution, and delivery of Centre Catering and events. This person is also responsible for seeking new and expanded opportunities for the Centre to provide event planning services on or off the grounds. Work requires creative and strategic thinking to develop events and programs that retain existing clientele, attract more clientele for the Centre and promote an environment of Christ-centered entertainment, wellness, and growth.

Requirements

• Live a Christ-centered life and have a strong commitment to excellence.
• 1-3 years experience in event planning and logistics.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Passion for creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare all Centre Catering and events  in partnership with the Director of Food Services and Events.
• Develop sales approach and maintain a pipeline of new and repeat opportunities for event planning services.
• Support the development of new events that contribute financial, membership, and ministry value to the CFC and LCS.
• Evaluate data and generate reports that define the success of all events, and catered opportunities.
• Coordinate efforts between other departments of the organization to plan, promote, and deliver catering and events on time, in accordance with procedures, and facilitate exceptionally.
• Recruit and train volunteers to assist with catering and events.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant events that would have an impact on Lenawee County.
• Analyze other events in Lenawee County and the country to model best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
