About The Position

This position helps to support the mission of Baylor University by providing technical services and logistical assistance and for events hosted by Baylor University. Events include but not limited to Board of Regent Meetings, summer programs, lectures, tailgates, and special events. An associate's degree and two years of relevant experience are required. A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. A valid Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required. Must be available to work nights and weekends as needed. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and logistical consultation for event planning and event execution
  • Coordinate equipment needs for events with clients and provide on-site expertise during events
  • Provides an in-depth knowledge of various audio and video equipment including microphones, sound reinforcement, video projection, screens, rigging, recording equipment, cameras, mixing boards, cabling, etc.
  • Must have a strong background with information technology including computers, event software such as PowerPoint, Pro Presenter, image mag, Windows, IOS, etc.
  • Provides overflow technical support in classrooms and non-event spaces across campus, requiring an in-depth knowledge of campus facilities and the supporting technology for programming outside of classes
  • Responsible for inventory and maintenance on Institutional Events technical and logistical equipment
  • Assist with maintenance of Institutional Events vehicle fleet
  • Hire, train, and supervise student workers to support programming needs of events
  • Performing all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintaining regular and punctual attendance
