Spring 2026 Event Production Assistant (Non-Work Study))
About The Position
University Events (UE) supports the University mission and serves as a one-stop operation that follows University priorities to coordinate, support, execute and consult on meetings, events, and programs throughout campus. UE coordinates the efforts of University support areas on behalf of event sponsors and is responsible for planning institutional and campus-wide events such as Commencement, Convocation and Honor's Week. Striving to offer exceptional customer service, UE manages and maintains event space and resources while providing event related services including room configuration, technology, and production, audio and lighting support. The staff is committed to supporting student success and development through hands-on experiential learning outside of the classroom. Supervised by the Auditorium Technical staff, Event Production Assistants are the primary stage crew for events in the RSU Auditorium and other event spaces throughout the Rondileau Student Union; as well as Horace Mann auditorium in Boyden Hall, and the Crimson Dining Hall.
Responsibilities
- setup and operation of audio and lighting equipment for live events
- assist in the construction of production sets for the Theatre & Dance department
