About The Position

Our retreat center, farm, and programs enable and inspire vibrant Jewish life. Engaging Jewish, faith-based, and secular organizations, individuals, and families, Pearlstone Retreat Center serves all ages and backgrounds throughout Baltimore, the Chesapeake region, and beyond. We are seeking 1-3 enthusiastic and detail-oriented Event Planning Interns to support the Guest Services team at Adamah at The Pearlstone Retreat Center. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of hospitality and event coordination. Interns will assist with responding to client emails, entering and organizing event details using management software, and contributing to customer service efforts. You will be part of a team that supports over 150 retreats annually, many of which take place in a beautiful farm and nature-based setting.

Requirements

  • Detail-Oriented: Able to manage complex event logistics with accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Computer Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools; quick to learn new software platforms.
  • Deadline-Driven: Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable: Dependable and consistent in meeting commitments and supporting team goals.
  • Friendly and Professional: Approachable and courteous in all communications with guests and colleagues.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
  • Must possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, professional verbal, and written communication skills in English, as well as provide excellent customer service.
  • Must be available at least 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to client emails
  • Entering and organizing event details using management software
  • Contributing to customer service efforts
  • Ensure the financial health of the organization through retreat sales, program revenue, and/or fundraising.
  • Attend weekly department meetings.
  • Attend monthly all-staff meetings.
  • Adapt to changing situations.
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned.
