About The Position

Flowserve is seeking an Event Marketing Manager to lead the approach, strategy, execution, and performance measurement of Flowserve’s global tradeshows, conferences, and proprietary customer events. This role evaluates and recommends event opportunities, conducts competitive research, and applies a tiered event model to maximize ROI and operational efficiency. The manager plays a hands‑on role in planning and executing high-priority customer events while ensuring scalable, standardized processes for lower-priority events. This role collaborates closely with company leaders, event agencies and contractors, and cross‑functional partners, leveraging AI and project management tools to drive consistency, scale, and continuous improvement in Flowserve’s event experiences. The Event Marketing Manager reports directly to the Head of Marketing and is responsible for being the voice of Event Marketing on the Marketing Leadership Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in event marketing, tradeshow management, or integrated B2B marketing roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale industry events
  • Strong knowledge of event strategy, lead capture processes, and post-event measurement approaches.
  • Proven ability to evaluate event ROI and use data to guide investment decisions.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, technical stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Expertise with project management tools (Wrike, Asana, Monday, Smartsheet, etc.) and marketing tech platforms.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools for research, content development, project workflow automation, and briefing materials.
  • Exceptional organizational, vendor management, budget tracking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, often with tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, planning, execution, and measurement for Flowserve’s customer-facing events including tradeshows, conferences, and Flowserve-hosted events.
  • Apply and optimize a tiered event model, balancing level of effort, customization vs. standardization, and budget.
  • Present event recommendations, budgets, and strategic rationale to business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Manage external contractors, vendors, agencies, and partners to deliver high-quality, and on-brand event experiences.
  • Utilize AI tools, project management systems, and standardized workflows to operate efficiently and scale event execution globally.
  • Track and manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure fiscal responsibility across all activities.
  • Define and maintain measurement frameworks for event success, including KPIs, ROI analysis, and reports.
  • Deliver post-event insights and recommendations to stakeholders, translating outcomes into actionable next steps.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking, industry research, and best‑practice evaluations to guide event strategy.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Business, Marketing, Communications, and company leadership.
