Event Management: Responsible for researching, developing, and executing events that align with the goals of the IGC. Events may be initiated through direct assignment or identified through needs of assessments. Including engaging and coordinating with vendors to support events, as well as leading and managing the entire event planning process. This involves tracking and managing event-related expenditures and assigning resources to ensure successful event execution. Monitoring and recording event participation, maintaining and coordinating the IGC event calendar, and collaborating with IGC partners to facilitate smooth event registration. Additional duties comprise organizing travel, lodging, and local transportation for speakers, coordinating speaker dinners and related engagements, overseeing intern involvement in event operations, and providing on-site event management and support. Working with University stakeholders to secure event venues and procuring materials such as speaker gifts are also essential tasks. Responsible for negotiating contracts for IGC Speakers. Responsible for monitoring and controlling event budgets. Team & Partner Management: This position will represent the Institute for Governance and Civics on multiple work groups and teams. Additionally, this position will work closely with the undergraduate and graduate student interns at the IGC through the assignment of event related duties and preparations. This position will support other IGC activities and operations as assigned. Event Graphics: Design and produce visual assets, including flyers and promotional graphics, to support event marketing efforts.
