About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites by the Galleria, located in the upscale Galleria area, is looking for a detail-oriented Event Services Manager. If you’re enthusiastic about creating memorable experiences and have previous hotel convention services experience, submit your resume to apply!

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year previous experience in hotel convention services experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, banquet setup styles, and catering service standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing, effectively deal with internal and external guest relations and provide overall guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport and build trust with clients to maintain relationships that result in repeat business.
  • Coordinate, organize, detail and service all meetings, functions and events according to client’s requests and needs.
  • Acquire thorough knowledge of meeting space capacities, menu items, AV equipment, meeting room setup styles and all details to finalize banquet event orders for meetings and catering events.
  • Upsell food and beverage products and event services to maximize profit.
  • Monitor in house group activity and provide assistance for event set up.
  • Attend BEO meetings to discuss details of events, set up requirements and client requests.
