About The Position

Kodiak Interiors Group is growing and seeking an experienced, creative, and fun individual to join our Marketing team. The Event Coordinator will have feet-on-the-ground responsibilities for planning, advertising, scheduling and executing events for our 6 Colorado-based Specialty Appliance locations. This role is responsible for aligning events to the company’s brand and culture. This role manages logistics, vendor relationships, timelines, budgets, and on-site coordination to ensure seamless event delivery and a high-quality participant experience.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associates or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years prior event management experience
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Ability to leverage social media platforms effectively for planning and coordination of events
  • Prior experience using event registration software such as Constant Contact
  • Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual a plus. Strong oral, written, and presentation/public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Event content development in Colorado that includes taking photos and recording videos for marketing use.
  • Basic social media responsibilities for events.
  • Event coordination including communicating with venues, vendors, talent, rental companies, Chefs, catering companies and more based on the demand of specific events for KIG companies.
  • Event set up and tear down including, but not limited to, shopping, decorating, moving tables, furniture, and catering equipment for Colorado-based events in addition to KIG events as assigned.
  • Event clean up including, but not limited to, washing dishes, cleaning, removing trash, bussing tables etc.
  • Event staff accountabilities such as greeting /checking in guests, coat check, and other general duties performed for Colorado-based events in addition to KIG events as assigned.
  • Set up and tear down the Mobile Showroom and Mobile Event Activations.
  • Creates and distributes event registration emails using Constant Contact.
  • Communicates details pertaining to events to KIG Marketing Team members in various states.
  • Works with location Managers to schedule events, staff the events, and create invitation lists
  • Performs additional marketing/event-related tasks as assigned including basic graphic design using tools such as Canva.
  • Performs business development and outreach duties as assigned including, but not limited to, delivering treats or flyers to local businesses or at local events in addition to attending or participating in industry association events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by the Director, Events Manager, or other members of KIG and operating company Management teams.
  • Schedules and prioritize workloads by setting appropriate deadlines.
