About The Position

As an Event Cook, at Fireside Catering, you will assist in the preparation, cooking and plating of delicious meals for a wide variety of events with unique menus, at venues throughout Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a creative mindset, and excellent attention to detail. Full-time and part-time hours available in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Desire to cultivate your culinary skills; learn proper knife skills, baking, etc.
Take pride in your job – We use ingredients from our own farm, The Farm at Gibbet Hill and many local vendors.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with other staff members to ensure that all elements of the event, including setup, serving, and cleanup, are executed flawlessly
Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items
Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly

Additional compensation of $100 per shift with ability to drive a 14’ to 16’ box truck to events
