The EC is a dual role Family Service Coordinator and Developmental Specialist (FSC/DS) position encompassing both the FSC and DS job duties. The EC is primarily responsible for the implementation of Amplified Therapy, Inc.’s (Company) Intake Process, Evaluation, Assessment, Eligibility Process, and IFSP Process. The EC is the lead member of the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team, is the hearing and vision screening professional, the IDA Lead Expert, and is responsible for ensuring that all quality assurance measures are followed within his/her job duties. The EC has marketing responsibilities in addition to other job duties assigned by the Company, within the Family Service Coordination (FSC) and Developmental Specialist (DS) role, as defined by the NM FIT Early Intervention program. The EC is primarily responsible for the Company’s Intake Process, Evaluation, Assessment, Eligibility Process, and IFSP Process. The EC duties may include providing Family Service Coordination and/or Developmental Instruction to families/children, in accordance with the EI process as defined by the NM FIT Program regulations and standards. EC may also be required to participate in business operating duties. The EC is a position within the Company of a dual role Family Service Coordinator and Developmental Specialist. The EC will act as the Lead Member of the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team while performing Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluations (CME’s), as well as coordinating and executing all Annual Assessments within their assigned geographical location. The EC is also expected to fulfill the role of an IDA Lead, a Developmental Specialist Supervisor and Trainer, and to participate in the Company Marketing Plan, including, but not limited to community outreach duties. Such duties involve attending organized community events, planning and completing meet-n-greets, participation in child finds, and any other undefined marketing duties deemed beneficial by the Company. The EC is expected to perform a minimum volume of work, for the Compensation rendered. Those specific productivity expectations and compensations are defined separately in the EC’s Individual Compensation and Productivity Expectations (ICPE). Definitions of the various roles within the EC job position, the EC is expected to perform, are detailed below: EC shall attend all IDA trainings offered at the State level, to become the IDA Lead expert for the Company. In conjunction with the Company’s Vice President and EDEI, EC will facilitate IDA trainings for Company’s staff members. FSC services are provided, as designated in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and performed by a designated individual to assist and enable the families of children from birth through age three (3) years of age to access and receive early intervention (EI) services. The responsibilities of the FSC include acting as the single point of contact for: coordinating, facilitating and monitoring the delivery of services to ensure that services are provided in a timely manner; coordinating services across agency lines; assisting parents in gaining access to, and coordinating the provision of EI services and other services as identified on the IFSP; explaining to families about the EI services and their procedural safeguards; gathering information from the family regarding their concerns, priorities and resources; coordinating the evaluation and assessment activities; facilitating the determination of the child’s eligibility; referring the family to providers for needed services and supports; scheduling appointments for IFSP services for the child and their family; helping families plan and prepare for their IFSP meeting; organizing, facilitating and participating in IFSP meetings; arranging for and coordinating all services listed on the IFSP; conducting follow-up activities to determine that appropriate services are being provided; coordinating funding sources for services provided under the IFSP; monitoring the delivery of the services listed on the IFSP; facilitating periodic reviews of the IFSP; and ensuring that a transition plan is developed at the appropriate time. Developmental Instruction (DI) services include working in a coaching role with the family or other caregiver, the design of learning environments and implementation of planned activities that promote the child’s healthy development and acquisition of skills that lead to achieving outcomes in the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). DI provides families and/or other caregivers with the information, skills, and support to enhance the child’s development. DI addresses all developmental areas: cognitive, communication, physical/motor (vision and hearing), social/emotional and adaptive development. DI services are provided in collaboration with the family and other personnel providing early intervention services in accordance with the IFSP. Once trained as a DS, in accordance with NM FIT Program regulations and Company requirements, EC may be expected to supervise other DS’s as determined and assigned by the Company. DS Supervision duties, at a minimum, will include training of DS’s, development, implementation, management and reporting of Individual Professional Development plans for all assigned DS’s, reflective and clinical supervision, and communication with Company’s management related to this supervision, as required by the Company. As assigned by the Company, HCVP will become trained in the use of hearing and vision screening equipment and associated procedural protocols. EC is responsible for performing all hearing and vision screening both in the comprehensive, multidisciplinary evaluation settings, as well any other community or individual settings required by the Company. EC is responsible for proper use, care and safekeeping of all equipment and ensuring required maintenance and repairs are reported immediately to the Company, and for confirming arrangements are made through the Company to facilitate necessary repairs and maintenance in a timely fashion. EC may be responsible for training others in the proper use of all hearing and vision screening equipment and procedural protocols.
