You would act as the liaison between us and our customers. You will review technical drawings and blueprints, prepare estimates and quotes utilizing existing pricing information as it relates to doors, frames, hardware preparations, shipping, any production or project problems, as well as assist with field inspections.    You would also: Ensure the timely processing of customer quotes, ensuring accuracy and pricing. Communicate with customers on the status of the project, discrepancies, project delays, etc. Help to drive quote follow-up process, prepare documents as necessary to compute hit rate and customer metrics. Verify technical drawings and blueprints for accuracy, manufacturability, specification requirements and coordination of hardware. Gain an understanding of production capacity, capabilities and workflow processes to help manage customer expectations. Perform other responsibilities as required. Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees. Compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of estimating experience OR 1 year of experience if coming from hollow metal and doors industry.
  • Previous exposure to reading blueprints, shop drawings or engineering drawings desired.
  • Previous experience with direct customer and contractor communication is desired.
  • Previous experience and a general understanding of the construction industry, exposure to the commercial construction industry is desired.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, problem-solving, and follow-up skills needed, as well as a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, as well as exposure to an Order Management platform or an ERP system desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to building codes and labeling requirements would be a plus.
