About The Position

Estimator/Procurement Specialist: Florida Coastal Paving a part of the Delaware Valley Paving family is looking to add an Estimator/Procurement specialist to our staff in Phoenixville and Tampa, Florida. A national parking lot construction and maintenance company serving commercial and industrial clients across the country, Delaware Valley Paving and Florida Coastal Paving is a family-owned organization committed to developing our people, strengthening leadership, and delivering consistent, high-quality results through disciplined processes and a strong company culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or Project Management (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience with proven project management capability.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex project documents and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering effective, persuasive project proposals and presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • In order to best learn about our Company, this is a full time, in office position in either our beautiful offices in Tampa or Phoenixville.
  • Delaware Valley Paving/Florida Coastal Paving requires a criminal background check, driver license check and drug screen for all post offer/pre hire candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret plans at all stages of development, from schematic and budgetary designs to fully detailed 100% construction documents.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Evaluate and qualify vendors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Analyze and compile data affecting costs, including labor rates, materials, equipment, and location factors, to produce precise and timely estimates.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage project-related portals and documentation.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining high standards of organization and time management.
  • Review project scope, specifications, and potential risk factors to determine bid feasibility.
  • Oversee special assignments and provide support for strategic initiatives as needed.
