Responsibilities for the Estimating Supervisor include, but are not limited to: Be an active member of the NBGSC Leadership Team and a champion of the safety culture Assist the company’s sales & profit efforts by driving, directing, supervising & leading the overall activities of the Estimating Team. Work with the Estimating Team to provide complete, timely, accurate and well-qualified cost estimates and proposals. Work with Quote/Sales Engineers and other functions to create safe and economical project design solutions. Be aware of the impacts of structural decisions based upon metal building price, erection concerns and total in-place cost of construction. Work with Estimators to screen quotes with unique scope requirements from the standpoint of business risk, product application and most economical solution. Develop strong professional and personal working relationships with our customer base and other departments. Maintain the NBG Estimating System(s) for current design methods; maintain the NBG cost model and pricing data. In partnership with the Sales Service Manager, the Estimating Supervisor leads the Estimating Team by overseeing training and development, mentoring and performance management, and fostering professional growth in areas such as business acumen, problem-solving, value engineering, sales, and customer service.
