As an Estimating Engineer at Element Logic, you’ll play a key role in supporting our sales and project teams by leading the estimating efforts for large-scale material handling system integration projects. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to build accurate cost estimates, analyze project data, and help ensure our solutions are both innovative and cost-effective. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
3–5 years’ experience in project cost estimating, project controls, procurement, project management, or engineering.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and analytical skills.
Organization and time management skills.
Willingness to ask for, accept, and act on feedback.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Dynamics F&O or other ERP systems is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
Knowledge of automated material handling technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead the budget process by coordinating with internal project teams and external vendors to develop detailed cost estimates for material handling system integration projects.
Identify and communicate risks of cost overruns for pricing consideration.
Analyze active and completed projects and apply findings to improve the estimating process.
Develop preliminary project schedules with input from internal project teams and external vendors.
Develop high-level rough order of magnitude pricing for projects by leveraging rules of thumb and historical data.
Create RFQs (Requests for Quotes) for equipment and services to solicit bids from vendors.
Present project budgets to sales and leadership.
Maintain awareness of current market conditions that affect pricing and lead times.
Review RFP documentation, quotes, drawings, and other relevant documents to ensure pricing accounts for project requirements.
Lead the hand-off of project budgets to the implementation team.
Assist sales teams with the creation of sales proposals and presentations as needed.
