About The Position

Hey, fellow gaming enthusiasts and operational wizards! The City of Aurora’s Esports program isn't just leveling up; we’re hitting unreal, and we need a new teammate for the control room. If you have a passion for technology and know how to lead a squad (both digitally and in real life), this role is your next major campaign. Think of this job as being the ultimate Guild Leader for our programs. You are the crucial point guard who keeps the ball moving. You won't just be monitoring screens; you'll be the go-to person who makes sure the server is always running smoothly, ready to troubleshoot minor glitches before they cause a full system crash. We need someone who can mentor the next generation of competitors while ensuring that every customer and youth participant feels like a VIP, not just an NPC. This means you are constantly connecting with our community, building healthy relationships, and promoting our expanding program. We are looking for an Esports Program Assistant who is ready to jump into the thick of it. Hiring Salary is $18.00/hour. This position is classified as a VHNE (Variable Hour Non-Benefit Employee), meaning the selected candidate will work fewer than 29 hours per week. This position does not provide medical benefits. This position earns sick leave in accordance with the Healthy Families and Workplace Act. The deadline to submit applications is April 16, 2026. Please note, the City of Aurora will conduct ongoing screenings of applications on a first-come, first-served basis; as soon as we determine to have a qualified pool of applicants, this position may close quickly and without notice.
