About The Position

The Studio Directing team is responsible for the on-air presentation of the show. We lead our crews to execute what the viewer sees and hears for broadcast. The dates of this internship are June 1st through August 7, 2026.

Requirements

  • Strong interest and desire in pursuing a career in Studio Directing
  • Experience in television production or electronic journalism background (academic or internship)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to track materials, schedules, and staffing needs across productions
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Ability to work different shifts on occasion
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated interest in sports media, television production, or broadcast operations
  • Basic knowledge of studio equipment, sets, or production terminology
  • Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Sports Media, Communications or related major preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee an assigned studio operation, ensuring directors have required materials, equipment, staffing, and set readiness for each production
  • Participate in pre-production activities, supporting planning, coordination, and schedule adherence
  • Coordinate the availability of assigned talent, guests, and commentators to ensure smooth production flow
  • Assist Directors with studio floor management, supporting live and live-to-tape productions in accordance with established procedures
  • Identify, report, and follow up on studio or staffing issues, escalating to appropriate teams to ensure timely resolution
  • Execute assigned tasks under close supervision, maintaining accuracy, compliance with Studio Operations standards, and making minor set or equipment adjustments as needed
