The ESOL program of the Office of Multilingual and Multicultural Education is designed to develop parents' English language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while providing parents and caregivers with information and resources about their vital responsibility in shaping the lives of their children by providing learning opportunities across academic, parenting, social emotional, and content areas. In this position, the ESOL classes are among many classes in which we support our BPS parents and families. Instructors educate BPS parents and families by offering English language reading, speaking, and listening skills. Instruction is targeted to limited English-speaking BPS parents and families. The instructor will also guide parents and families to meaningfully participate in their child's education at the school level. These courses are fully in person at community locations, the same location will be used for each course section.
