Teachers plan, implement, and supervise all classroom activities for typically developing children and children with disabilities. This position collaborates with an integrated team to support program goals. Key responsibilities include ensuring the classroom environment and activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations (including Head Start Program Performance Standards, Texas Education Agency, NAEYC Accreditation Standards, and TDFPS Child Care Licensing), creating an engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment, planning and implementing educational curriculum, developing lesson plans based on children's needs and observations, employing diverse instructional techniques, screening and documenting children's progress, regularly communicating with parents, supervising Teaching Assistants and volunteers, and maintaining accurate records and timely reports.
