About The Position

We’re looking for an ESG Reporting Manager to join our team! The ESG Reporting Manager is responsible of implementing the ESG reporting process—including governance, data management, internal controls, assurance preparation, and publication—to ensure that all disclosures are accurate, audit-ready, and in compliance with CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and other relevant standards. This role facilitates coordination among cross-functional data stakeholders, promotes standardized definitions, enhances control measures, and collaborates closely with business functions such as Finance, Legal, Risk & Compliance, and Operating Companies to deliver timely, consistent, and actionable information for decision-making. The role will interact with Liberty Global markets, key delivery partners, external consultants, external and internal auditors, and corporate departments including Finance, Risk & Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Investor Relations, and the People team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, or similar; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Relevant years in ESG reporting, audit, or risk/internal controls within a complex, multi-entity environment; SOX/internal controls exposure advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and carbon accounting such as the GHG Protocol, GRI and TCFD familiarity with CSRD/ESRS and EU Taxonomy requirements.
  • Proven ability to coordinate diverse data owners and senior stakeholders across corporate functions and Operating Companies; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates management behaviors: adaptability, proactive improvement, inclusive leadership, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • CSRD/ESRS-compliant sustainability statements, disclosures, and assurance-ready materials.
  • Scope 1–3 metrics, EU Taxonomy KPIs, methodologies, boundaries, and audit evidence compiled.
  • ESG Reporting Manual with definitions, calculations, controls, RACI, and updated templates due to standards changes.
  • Quarterly governance reports: data dashboards, access/change logs, risk and compliance KPIs.
  • Double Materiality Assessment integrated into plans and disclosures.
  • Audit-ready documentation: data, control walkthroughs, testing, remediation, and draft footprint for auditors.
  • Automated ESG reporting packages in tools (Watershed), including governance workflows and exports; integrated with enterprise systems.
  • Training materials and demos for stakeholders; attendance tracking and refreshers.
  • Compliance: apply internal ESG guidance, Reporting Criteria and methodologies; run methodology compliance checks (incl. estimates) and keep templates up to date.
  • Data program: schedule & coordinate data collection across OpCos; monitor progress; ensure accurate, complete and timely submissions; perform trend analyses and spot checks.
  • Controls: operate and evidence controls over data collection/approval, user access, subsidiaries & locations updates, utilities and website/report tie-outs; maintain restatement trails.
  • Assurance support: coordinate PBCs, walkthroughs, documentation and system access; chase clarifications; log responses; track Engagement/Management Representation Letters and opinions/findings to closure.
  • Tooling: manage Watershed day-to-day (issue queue, testing, deployments, access); maintain master lists; perform controlled out-of-system adjustments; support integrations/automation with internal systems.
  • KPIs & insights: track and report compliance KPIs; identify data gaps and drive remediation with data owners; escalate risks to senior stakeholders.
  • Double Materiality Assessment & risk: support double materiality and risk assessments with reliable, traceable inputs and reflect outcomes in data packs and KPIs.
  • Stakeholders: align timings and dependencies with Business Operations; provide regular status updates to CFOs and direct reports; coordinate with other ESG reporting teams to ensure consistent practices.
  • Treasury & disclosures: provide inputs for Treasury requests; support investor/ratings and stakeholder information requests aligned to published data.
  • Training & enablement: deliver system demos, user training, and ongoing support for data providers and approvers; monitor attendance and update training content with methodology/system changes.
