Role Summary: The ERSEA Specialist helps connect families to life-changing early childhood education opportunities. Guided by St. Anne's mission to build safe, nurturing, and resilient families, this role supports the full enrollment process - from outreach and eligibility to attendance - ensuring every child and family receives the care and support they deserve. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM, Friday 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM; Every other Friday off! Location: St. Anne's Family Services, 155 N. Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required
  • OR-
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Family Development Credential
  • AND-
  • 1+ year of experience in a social service or educational setting (Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred)
  • PLUS-
  • Valid CA Class C Driver's License required
  • Valid Auto Insurance required
  • Access to a reliable automobile

Nice To Haves

  • Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) processes to ensure compliance with Head Start, Early Head Start, and state contract requirements.
  • Coordinate outreach and community recruitment efforts to maintain full enrollment and meet required income eligibility thresholds.
  • Monitor and analyze attendance data, collaborating with Family Service Associates to address absenteeism and improve child participation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in ChildPlus and state databases, ensuring compliance with LACOE and federal documentation standards.
  • Provide staff training and community representation, including Pre-Service and In-Service ERSEA trainings and participation in recruitment events and community assessments.
