About The Position
ERC ASSISTANT @ Fleming Middle School Date Posted: 11/25/2025 internal 12/3/2025 external Location: Fleming Middle School Hours per Day: 7 Hours Days per Week: 4 Days Days per Year: 156 Days Closing Date and Time: Open Until Filled Compensation: $17.52 - $22.20 - New hires will be placed at Step 1 through 9 dependent on prior contracted educational experience. Employees in qualifying positions will receive a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision and will receive contributions to their PERS retirement accounts. Requirements
- Ability to work with ERC team of assistants
- Ability to work well with special needs students
- Understanding of age-appropriate behavioral issues
- Knowledge and experience with basic computer operations desired
- Ability to work one-on-one or in small groups
- Ability to discipline with dignity
- Ability to take initiative and be self-directed
- Ability to stand, walk or sit on floor while working with students in the classroom or while supervising
- Ability to physically lift, move or restrain a student on a regular basis
- Must qualify or be able to meet standard for highly qualified para-professional

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two (2) years of college coursework or Associate’s Degree (may be waived pending successful performance on skills test administered by the District)
