Responsibilities

  • Certify to operate multiple processes or grouping of equipment on high speed automated or semiautomated manufacturing equipment.
  • Participate in all equipment changeovers or set-ups.
  • Monitor assigned processes to ensure high quality production.
  • Respond to machine faults and restore to normal operation.
  • Participate in autonomous maintenance to maintain assigned equipment/area.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality is required per the BD attendance policy.
  • Maintain equipment and a clean area by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down equipment.
  • Maintains an open line of communication to ensure all problems/changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate records as required following good documentation practices (GDP).
  • Participate in root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues as needed.
  • Participate in tier 1 shifts' start-up meetings, 5S, and Kaizen events.
  • Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations.
  • Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
  • Support and maintain a safe working environment including the submission of employee safety observations (ESO).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to get along with people and work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Ability to train other associates as needed.
  • Ability to identify production issues and clearly communication to support functions.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.
