About The Position

The Mine Operations Department is responsible for safe, efficient movement of materials. Successful applicants will be required to operate Heavy Equipment, that may include but is not limited to: Large Track Dozers, Rubber Tire Dozers, Graders, Blast Hole Drills, Wheel Loaders, Large Mining Shovels, and Haul Trucks. Perform and document a thorough pre-operational inspection to evaluate the safety and mechanical condition of the equipment. All work must be completed in a safe and efficient manner while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect the company’s values. Successful applicants will be assigned a crew and follow the site rotating schedule (day shift and night shift).

Requirements

  • Two plus years of operating various equipment in an open pit mining environment.
  • Excellent attitude towards safety and the continued success of RNMC.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Mine Operations Equipment fleet, including operating and basic maintenance of such equipment.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Mine Star or Modular Mining dispatch use.
  • Ability to positively interact with people.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force constantly.

  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • General understanding of mechanical functions preferred but not required.

  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, attendance, confidentiality and code of conduct.
  • Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by the company.
  • Consistently exercise discretion and judgment in job performance.
  • Recognize hazardous conditions or situations and act quickly and appropriately to mitigate or eliminate those conditions or situations.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
