About The Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, carrying out a range of duties including, but not limited to, pushing, compacting, covering, and loading refuse at our landfill site. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years' prior experience on a paving crew.
• Must be able to concentrate on tasks for extended periods of time.
• The ability to understand and communicate information.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to do basic math.
• Must be able to safely operate hand and power tools. Prior experience is required.
• Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate various pieces of heavy equipment in site reclamation, road work, and right of way pipeline work including, but not limited to: Dozer Excavator Roller Skid Steer Rock Truck Grader Skidder
• Must be able to dig around utilities, operate in very close quarters, must be able to work well with ground labors, must be able to follow directions from Foreman.
• Operate a variety of equipment including backhoes, loaders, and scrapers on commercial and industrial projects in a safe manner and within the production goals established.
• Lift heavy loads up to and exceeding 70 pounds.
• Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.
• Backfill trenches and pit when necessary.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools. and equipment when not in use and securing the job site daily.
