About The Position

Titan Florida LLC has an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator for our recycled aggregates operations, primarily stationed in Medley, FL. This wage non-exempt position is assigned to the T-Rex Recycling Department and will report to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Safety-minded.
  • Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Knowledge of equipment operation preferred: concrete truck and forklift.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions to carry out sufficient repair orders.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks correctly and promptly.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Maintain a current Florida Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces.
  • Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as necessary. Must be able to work rotating shifts as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of material specifications, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Safely operate a concrete truck in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Efficiently load and deliver perishable products.
  • Follow procedures to ensure equipment is safe to operate. When not performing driving duties, the operator will assist with plant maintenance, cleanup, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assembling and fabricating bin blocks and keeping production records.
  • Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting necessary maintenance as required.
  • Operate a concrete truck to receive a load, evaluate the slump, and drive to the job site. Safely maneuver the truck on the job site, attach chutes to discharge material, and clean the truck to minimize concrete buildup.
  • Complete all forms, tickets, and required paperwork promptly.
  • Keep the inside and outside of the truck clean.
  • Communicate with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide good service.
  • Work with the lead man on other tasks required in the loadout and plant.
  • Move finished products when necessary.
  • Must be willing and able to train to operate other equipment and to perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Leadman.
