About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Equipment Operator Trainee, Equipment Operator, Senior Equipment Operator, or Lead Equipment Operator at the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility and the Cox Creek Sediment Technology and Reuse Facility. The projects are located in northern Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City, Maryland. This position provides equipment operation services for MES clients at field locations. Primary responsibilities include operating off-road dump trucks, dozers, excavators, other heavy equipment, and dewatering pumps. Training will be provided as needed. This position may occasionally require evening and weekend work and temporary assignments to other MES-operated facilities.

Requirements

• All classifications require graduation from a standard high school or GED
• Ability to pass a standard physical examination
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with less than points
• EO classification is required to have one (1) year applicable experience
• SEO is required to have three (3) years applicable experience
• LEO is required to have five (5) years applicable experience
