Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
  • English: advanced
  • Strong attention to details
  • Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
  • Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, tracks, and reports MSC Equipment flows using MSC proprietary IT system along with excel reports and use of Power BI.
  • Creates reports and monitors the Equipment Inventories for US Terminals and Depots
  • Executes the distribution of MSC’s equipment (Containers, gensets and special equipment) in accordance with Logistics strategy, demand, and vendors’ capacity – ensuring appropriate allocation of equipment in all nationwide areas.
  • Liaises with internal departments, overseas offices and occasionally with government agencies (e.g. US Customs), as necessary.
  • Provides timely and accurate responses to internal inquiries regarding transportation milestones and shipment details.
  • Communicates quickly and effectively with respective vendors. (Terminals-Depots-Trucking Companies)
  • Observes corporate guidelines when addressing vendor and customer inquiries regarding shipments.
  • Generates potential solutions to customer issues.
  • Identifies and addresses potential Equipment’s sublease, mis release, theft or loss situations.
  • Analyzes data and consider performance modifications and implement strategies.
  • Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
  • Provides feedback regarding current corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
