The responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following: Follow safety procedures and expectations which include knowledge of hazards and necessary precautions for assigned tool set(s) and following Lock out/Tag Out procedures. Adhere to all clean room protocols and procedures. Monitor equipment in the area and be familiar with equipment and process related issues within the module. Perform preventative, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance proficiently with “root-cause” solutions for all repairs. Develop model-based troubleshooting plans for extended tool downs. Perform data analysis of tool performance on assigned tool, propose improvements and drive improvement activities based on this data. Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to troubleshoot and determine the health of tools in the area. Maintain a clean working area and follow 5S principles during repairs and preventative maintenance. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed. Ability and willingness to share expert knowledge with younger technicians and engineers to help elevate the overall capability of the group.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in technical field – Electronics, Electromechanical, Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, or similar equivalent military experience, or equivalent technical experience.
Six or more years of experience as an equipment technician maintaining semiconductor processing equipment.
Focus tool sets are vertical diffusion furnaces and linear wet sinks.
Broad knowledge of electronic, robotic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems related to semiconductor manufacturing.
Ability to troubleshoot to component level when necessary.
Experienced in the use of schematics, hand tools, DVM, oscilloscope and other common diagnostic test equipment.
Good communication skills required.
Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 35lbs unassisted.
Able to lift/push/pull/carry more than 35lbs with assistance.

Nice To Haves

Experience on some of the following tools would be an advantage; ASM A400 Classic furnaces, ASM DUO furnaces, TEL SE and SEi furnaces, linear wet sinks.

Ensure timeliness of projects are met using time management/project management skills.
Ensure excellent attention to detail and follow up pertaining to projects, maintenance, and equipment to maximize operational production and efficiency.
