About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence. As a Senior/Principal engineer, you will be part of a ground-breaking Advanced DRAM R&D wet etch team. The position offers ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and testing a new dimension with Advanced DRAM. You will work directly with Process Integration and other process areas such as Dry Etch, Metals, CVD, Diffusion, Lithography & CMP. You will contribute to brand new and outstanding wet etch tooling & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals. Key challenges include vapor/plasma etching, selective wet etching, surface prep, and high aspect processing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or an equivalent field is required
  • Research completed during pursuit of a PhD and 2 years of relevant industry experience, OR a Master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in DRAM or Memory
  • Experience working as a process development engineer in a R&D environment
  • Experience with coding, automation and/or data science

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic technical or tactical decisions at a project and platform level by contributing to high-level innovation feasibility studies
  • Regularly solve sophisticated problems before they become problems
  • Has the vision and technical skills to relate technologies and business plans of group and other group’s projects
  • Actively build Micron intellectual property
  • Be aware of external technical advancements substantiated with understanding of the state-of-the art
  • Lead Micron IP into successful technical readiness and transition to program integration
  • Regularly drive product planning/roadmap, platform features, and functional area strategy
  • Successfully convince management to initiate new projects
  • Regularly interact with senior management to provide consultation and influence technical and strategic decisions
  • Craft alliances with customers
  • Lead multi-functional teams, Technology focus teams, etc.
  • Demonstrate independence and initiative in proactively developing and applying new skills in the most critical current or future domains
  • Lead others within their technical subject area to achieve high levels of technical leadership
  • Share knowledge with others, proven through mentoring, coaching, presenting, etc.
