About The Position

The Epic Willow / Ambulatory Analyst is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Willow Pharmacy and Ambulatory applications. This role works closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure the system effectively supports pharmacy workflows and ambulatory care processes, improves patient outcomes, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Epic certification in Willow (Inpatient or Ambulatory) and/or Ambulatory (required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe).
  • Experience working with Epic systems in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows and/or ambulatory clinical operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as an Epic Analyst supporting Willow and/or Ambulatory modules.
  • Knowledge of medication management workflows, e-prescribing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with system integrations, reporting tools, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7).
  • Clinical background (e.g., Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacist, RN, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, build, test, and maintain Epic Willow (Inpatient and/or Ambulatory Pharmacy) and Ambulatory modules.
  • Analyze business and clinical requirements, translating them into functional Epic system solutions.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, and operational teams to optimize workflows and system usage.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions.
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and new feature implementations.
  • Participate in integrated testing, validation, and go-live activities.
  • Ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including workflows, build specifications, and training materials.
  • Provide end-user support and training to clinical and pharmacy staff.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including interface, reporting, and infrastructure teams.
