EPIC TRAINING TEAM LEAD

About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Training Team Lead will provide oversight and direct support to the training team and oversee the development of the SDMG training plan related to the use of the Epic system including scheduling and business office applications. This position will support and provide the required training related to the use of Epic. They will use the curriculum, lessons, and training materials created by the SDMG Training Team to conduct training. The Training Lead oversees end-user training, development of training material and will have detailed knowledge of the SDMG workflows.

Requirements

Licensed individual (LPN or RN) with 3 or more years of experience in a medical office setting or a Medical Assistant with 5 or more years of experience in a medical office setting experience is preferred.
Must possess strong leadership abilities
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Has the ability to adapt to change.
Must develop and maintain a strong understanding of office based practice, scheduling and business office workflows and a passion for teaching/training
Must be able to articulate complex materials and have a passion for teaching/training
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Will obtain additional certification/s from Epic Systems (as required).
Will attend training session at either MVHS, Epic Systems or other locations to obtain system knowledge, learning techniques and other skills/info to ensure the success of the SDMG training program.
Pass any certification or credentialing tests with a minimum score of 85%.
Will be required to shadow offices and observe office and ancillary workflows on a regular basis to ensure a sound understanding of the practices and ensure effective and efficient use of the system.

Past supervisory or managerial experience is preferred
Past training experience or educational background is preferred.
Epic Certification is preferred in Cadence, Referrals and Authorizations

Responsibilities

Will provide oversight and support to the SDMG Training Team.
Responsible for the development and ongoing success of the SDMG training related to the Epic system or other systems as needed.
Will coordinate the training program for all SDMG end users.
Will conduct and participate in training session for SDMG end users
Prepare classroom and materials needed.
Provide go-live and ongoing upgrade support (as needed).
Train new physicians and employees on the Epic system including scheduling and business office.
Work with key leadership members to develop and schedule training sessions (new user, ongoing, personalization sessions, etc.).
Work with SDMG IT team and MVHS to incorporate system/application changes into lesson plans and develop training materials.
Develop on ongoing training initiatives.
Will contribute to the build and maintenance of provider schedules and other aspects of Epic.
Will be an active team member and share ideas to improve to the training program.
Will organize and participate in usability sessions, personalization session, development of tip sheets, and other forms of end user education.
Will maintain a strong understanding of organizational workflows or industry knowledge of the application being installed.
Will develop and adhere to lesson plans.
Will be an integral part of the Training and SDMG teams.
Will actively participate on multiple committees.
Will follow up with and provide end user support as needed.
Supports the goals of Administration and works to promote teamwork within SDMG.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May be exposed to hazardous drugs.
Attends OSHA training upon initial employee orientation and annually completes an OSHA competency.
