Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
  • 3+ years' experience with Phase I ESAs and Phase II ESAs, including site visits and report writing.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Perform field work under limited supervision and in accordance with Atlas and Client safety protocol.
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established criteria, including deliverable deadlines and project budgets.
  • Excellent skills in technical writing and verbal communications.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, mostly within Georgia and surrounding states.

Nice To Haves

  • 40hr. OSHA HAZWOPER certification, current HAZWOPER refresher (preferred); AHERA Building Inspector Asbestos Certification (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and due diligence processes (ASTM E1527), including Georgia EPD regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, and other widely used computer programs; Working knowledge of Quire platform (preferred).
  • Desire to obtain relevant professional registration or certification, if not already obtained.
  • Prior experience in environmental consulting desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) field assessment (site visit), historical research, and report writing.
  • Support Phase II ESAs (collect field data including soil, groundwater and or soil vapor sample collection; logging of soil borings and monitoring wells), conduct stormwater sampling in compliance with NPDES requirements, landfill monitoring, and limited asbestos sampling, including fieldwork and report preparation.
  • Provide billable administrative support to Project Managers as requested.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with Atlas policies and procedures, most importantly, Atlas' safety policies.
