The Environmental Inspector Supervisor – Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) Program leads and administers post-construction ecological restoration efforts tied to City of Baltimore Department of Public Works (DPW) capital projects. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with the City’s Natural Resource Conservation (NRC) Policy and Procedure and integrated vegetation management plans for natural areas impacted by construction. The incumbent supervises environmental inspectors and/or contractors, conducts site assessments, manages vendor contracts, develops annual budgets, and prepares regulatory documentation in support of stormwater, floodplain, and wetland permit requirements under the supervision of the Natural Areas Unit Manager. Work is performed outdoors on active or recently completed construction and restoration sites, as well as indoors preparing reports and plans. Exposure to urban natural areas, insects, wildlife, inclement weather, dust, and noise is common. Work requires walking or standing outdoors for extended periods.
